      This OptiStruct course highlights an introduction to optimization in the product design process. Students will use their HyperWorks skills to setup concept optimizations including topology, topography, and free size, as well as fine-tuning optimizations such as size and shape.

      Prerequisite:

      OptiStruct for Linear Analysis, HyperWorks Introduction (Pre/Post)

      Goals and Objectives:

      • Understand structural optimization methods and theory
      • Develop concept-level optimization problems
      • Solve fine-tuning level optimization problems
