Flux - Analysis of Electric Motors

In this course, the participants will discover how to use Flux to perform different type of advanced analysis on a selected interior permanent magnet motor.

Prerequisites:

  • The user should know how to use Flux on basic level or attend Flux Introduction course beforehand.
  • Basic knowledge of electric motors is highly recommended.
  • It is recommended to install the latest version of Flux with valid license to follow up with the exercise.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Electric motor losses (including PWM effect) and power balance analysis.
  • Electromagnetic force computation and export.
  • Eccentricity analysis.
  • Demagnetization effect on the permanent magnet.
  • Winding inductance computation.
  • Winding AC losses.
  • Thermal analysis in Flux.
  • Extend to Skew model.
  • Efficiency map computation.
