Join the Altair EDEM online training session for 2024, and learn the basics of the Discrete Element Method and how to use EDEM for various applications. The session is divided into two days with different topics. To register for both days, click on the 'Go to event' link below.
Day 1
This training session introduces the Discrete Element Method and the EDEM Workflow. Also the considerations for modeling particle solids, best practices, and how to set up an EDEM model. You will learn the main EDEM Contact Models available, and the importance of calibrating your material model.
Identify the main three components of EDEM
Familiarize with EDEM workflow and applications
Introduction to EDEM contact models
Understand EDEM calibration methodology
EDEM simulator and solver settings (CPU and GPU)
Day 2 In this training session, we will
build on the EDEM Introduction session and explore the EDEM simulation workflow
and the post-processing features of EDEM. You will learn how to run a
simulation, visualize the granular material behavior, and extract relevant
metrics and data for analysis. You will also learn how to create dynamic videos
of your simulation.
