This course begins with an introduction of what polymers are and
how their physical chemistry affects their mechanical properties, and
then introduces how to characterize polymers for simulation, including
mechanical, thermal, viscous, and volumetric state behaviors. The last section discusses specific simulation cases and the polymer
property definitions necessary to carry out those analyses.
Sessions and Duration
We scheduled five sessions that will take place on five consecutive days; each session will last for two hours.
Session 1: Introduction to Polymers Session 2: Mechanical Properties Session 3: Equation of State & Thermal Properties Session 4: Viscosity Session 5: Applications to Simulation
