Sign-up for WinProp - Introduction

WinProp offers highly accurate and fast wave propagation models as well as radio network planning tools for a wide range of wireless standards (cellular incl. 5G, LTE, WiFi, broadcasting, TETRA, etc.). Based on this WinProp is ideally suited for the radio coverage planning in arbitrary scenarios, the simulation of the radio channel incl. the multipath situation, the network roll-out and optimization, the comparison of deployment concepts, the evaluation of installed antenna performance, the co-existence analysis of radio networks and for IoT deployments.
This course is aimed at new users who are interested in applying WinProp for indoor/outdoor propagation modelling and network planning.

Prerequisites: None

Duration: The interactive training is designed to familiarize the participants with WinProp by visiting the following topics for 3 days (2 hours/day).

Day 1 – WinProp Components
  • Introduction to WinProp and RF wave propagation
  • Introduction to WallMan and ProMan
  • Example: Interacting with WallMan
  • Example: Interacting with ProMan

Day 2 – Indoor Propagation Scenario
  • Introduction to AMan
  • Introduction to Propagation Modeling and Network Planning
  • Example: Indoor Propagation Simulation
  • Example: Indoor Network Planning

Day 3 – Outdoor Propagation Scenario
  • Handling Base-station Antenna
  • Preprocessing Urban Database with WallMan
  • Example: Urban Propagation Simulation
  • Example: Rural/Suburban Simulation
