Antenna Design and Installed Antenna Performance with Feko

Course Outline:

Feko is a comprehensive computational electromagnetics (CEM) software used widely in the telecommunications, automobile, aerospace and defense industries. Feko offers several frequency and time domain EM solvers for the efficient analysis of a broad spectrum of EM problems, including antennas, microstrip circuits, RF components and biomedical systems, the placement of antennas on electrically large structures, the calculation of scattering as well as the investigation of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

This course is aimed at new users who are interested in using Feko for antenna design and for the efficient analysis of the installed performance of antennas on large platforms.

Prerequisites:

None

Goals and Objectives:

  • Learn the effective use of the Feko interface for workflows relevant to antenna design and the analysis of installed antenna performance
  • Gain an understanding of the full-wave solvers available in Feko for antenna design
  • Gain an understanding of the high-frequency asymptotic solvers available in Feko for the analysis of installed antenna performance on larger structures
