Feko - Electromagnetic Compatibility

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analysis is not only used to predict emission and immunity performance, but also in the product design phase to mitigate problems due to external or co-site interfaces. Feko is used extensively for immunity and radiated emissions testing, shielding effectiveness, noise coupling, radiation hazard (RADHAZ) analysis, electromagnetic pulses (EMP), lightning analysis, high-intensity radiated fields (HIRF), reverberation, and anechoic chamber simulations.
This course is aimed at Feko users interested in the EMC simulations requiring cable, shielding, and lightning analysis.

Prerequisites:
Feko Introduction

Duration:
The training is designed as a 3-day course (daily 2 hours) to lead the participants to apply Feko for the following EMC topics .

Day 1 – Cable Emission/Immunity
  • Cable Analysis For Time Signals
  • Example: Antenna Power Coupled Into Shielded Cable
  • Example: Crosstalk Analysis between Two Cables in Time Domain

Day 2 – Shielding
  • Feko for Shielding Effectiveness Estimation
  • Example: Conductive Spherical Enclosure
  • Example: Radiation from Metallic Box with Slot
  • Example: Shielding Effectiveness of PC tower

Day 3 – Lightning/EMP & Radiated Emission
  • Feko for Lightning Strike Modelling
  • Example: Simple Building Attacked by EMP
  • Example: Lightning Impact on Aircraft
